Gourdin & Müller asked me to work with them for an exhibition at the Humboldt-Box in Berlin. It was an exciting project and a very rewarding collaboration. My task was to create three wall graphics: an almost 9 x 4 metre landscape, an 8 x 11 metre mountain, and an 8 x 7 metre seascape. It was the first time I'd ever done work of such large dimensions. I chose to draw to a 5:1 scale, a size I could handle with my pencil and yet big enough to create a rich panorama. It had to work from a distance and at the same time invite a closer look. I wanted visitors to the exhibition to have fun exploring my virtual landscapes.
