The book Neon Pantheon gives a comprehensive summary of the Greek mythology. It starts at the very beginning of everything — chaos — and ends on Mount Olympus. The book takes the reader through the most important gods from antiquity and their relationships. What makes it special? Athena and Zeus look like contemporaries. If the Greek gods are immortal, they are still around, and they surely must have renewed their wardrobe after all this time. It's printed in three special colours. No grayscale. Just 100% colour.
The concept, design, layout and illustrations are mine. Katja Barthel wrote the text. Stiftung Buchkunst named it one of the most beautiful German books of 2009 (Die schönsten deutschen Bücher 2009).
The pillows are part of the Jelena project, a room installation set in a flat. The idea was to make the invisible visible. Spoken words, feelings and interaction between a fictitious couple that could have lived in the flat.
